Travel Ban Goes into Effect – Prohibicion de viaje

The Travel Ban went into force at 8 pm on Thursday the 29th after the Supreme Court decided to allow parts of the ban to move forward . The ban affects residents of Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen. It does not apply to anyone with “a credible claim of a bona fide relationship with a person or entity in the United States.” This is defined as close family (parents, spouses, children, adult children, son-in-law and daughter-in-laws, and siblings), green card holders, or students and workers with established jobs or educational places. Tourists and business travelers can only enter if they have a qualifying “bona fide relationship” in the US.

El Travel Ban se inició a las 8 pm del jueves 29 de Junio. Afecta a residents de Iran, Libia, Somalia, Sudán, Siria y Yemen. No se aplica a quienes tengan un vinculo creible a persona o entidad en Estados Unidos. Esto se define como familia cercana (padres, esposos, hijos, yernos, nueras o hermanos), residentes permanentes, o estudiantes o personas con trabajos fijos. Turistas y viajeros de negocios solo pueden entrar si tienen un motivo calificado en EE.UU.
