Wilton High student named Outstanding Youth Volunteer

WILTON — Victoria Koenigsberger believes there are misconceptions about immigrants and feels their efforts often go unnoticed.

In the three years she’s volunteered at Building One Community, a Stamford-based immigration assistance program, she said she’s met and interacted with immigrants who once were established engineers, accountants and other professionals that had to leave their careers behind because of unstable situations in their former countries.
